The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is a non-profit organization that promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide. IPAF provides technical advice and information; through influencing and interpreting legislation and standards; and through safety initiatives and training programs. Every year, IPAF awards companies in the powered access industry for the best practices, product innovations and in several other categories called the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) Due to the global pandemic, the award ceremony this year (2021) on March 18th was a virtual online event. The event had participation from over 1000 Industry professionals from almost 70 countries worldwide.
The Heavy-Duty Mast Climber
Scanclimber’s new Heavy Duty-Mast Climber (HD MCWP) won the IAPA “Product of the year” this year. The HD MCWP is an addition to the product line of Scanclimber that is compatible with the most of our MCWPs. The judges opined that “this is an incredibly innovative product, which is very easy to use. Its ability to free stand to 30 meters is amazing, and the fact it can reach 55 meters with only a top tie is impressive. “
The HD MCWP system comprises the following components
- HD Chassis
- HD Mast
- HD Anchoring
- HD Top Cap
The HD Chassis and HD mast allow the mast climbers to be used up to 30 meters height freestanding. HD chassis with the outriggers allows the mast climbers can reach 55 meters of height by only attaching one top.
The new HD Anchoring system is an upgrade to standard maxianchors making their installation easier. The HD anchors sets contain a new anchor console which can be installed at anywhere on the which gives a lot of flexibility. The HD MCWP can be lifted as a whole when fitted with the HD Top Cap. The HD Top Cap has a lifting capacity of 13000 kg.
